SHELL KNOB, MO -- The Shell Knob Chamber of Commerce released the 2012 Shell Knob/Table Rock Lake Vacation & Relocation Guide. The colorful 48 page booklet is full of useful information for Shell Knob visitors and area residents alike. Supported by Chamber-member advertisers, the Vacation & Relocation Guide will be distributed locally, regionally and nationally to promote Shell Knob and the Table Rock Lake area as a quality vacation, relocation and retirement destination -- the basis of the local economy.
“Each year, quite a bit of effort goes into this, our main promotional publication. For 2012 not only are all-new photos included from local residents and our many visitors , we have several new articles. The fishing article was rewritten by our fishing report author Tony Noland. Long-time Shell Knob resident, Jessie Johnson, contributed her considerable writing talents in the new ‘Welcome’ article as well as the ‘Fall in Love With Shell Knob in Any Season!’ section. Other writing contributions include a section entitled “Wild Shell Knob” written by Nancy Rochovansky, a local naturalist and business owner,” said Sheila House, executive director.
Thousands of the 2012 Guides will be distributed at boat, sport and travel shows in Kansas City, St. Louis and Wichita over the next two months. The brochure is also available at Missouri Tourism Centers, many local businesses and other locations. Much of the Guide’s distribution comes via requests from shellknob.com which receives heavy daily traffic as a result of the Chamber’s aggressive internet marketing efforts.
Free copies can be picked up at the Shell Knob Chamber of Commerce office, or sent via mail by contacting the Chamber at 417.858.3300 or through info@shellknob.com
