Clean-up

 

Act as the liaison between the Corps of Engineers, Table Rock Lake Water Quality and the Chamber of Commerce. Attend various meetings, arrange for distribution of clean-up supplies, insure records are kept as per the Corps’ instruction, distribute official t-shirts. Makes recommendations for boat, sport and travel show locations as well as researching and recommending other opportunities to promote Shell Knob as a viable and desirable tourist destination.

Article XI of the Chamber of Commerce of Shell Knob By-laws:
Section 1: The president shall appoint committee chairpersons, subject to approval by the Board.
Section 2: No committee chairperson shall incur expense or contract debt on behalf of the Chamber unless working within the limits of a board approved budget or with specific prior approval by the board.
Section 3: No committee shall canvas the Chamber membership for donations of money or merchandise without prior approval by the board.
Section 4: Committee chairperson shall insure a written report and pertinent documents are presented to the board.

Additionally: All committees should work closely with the executive director who, along with the chamber president, serves as ex-officio of all committees. Any printed materials should be approved through the Chamber office before distribution. All press releases are handled through the chamber office unless otherwise approved. Committees should submit detailed information on their committee’s activities (include who, what, where, when & why) for inclusion in chamber newsletters, press releases and on the Web. With a few exceptions, advertising through the Chamber is limited to Chamber members. When non-members are invited to participate in advertising, there are two fee schedules: one for members and one for non-members. Every member should be contacted for any advertising or sponsorship opportunities related to Chamber events.
